Crosswalk's Statement On Acceptance And Diversity

As members of the Seventh-day Adventist church, we believe that the mission of our congregation, “Learning to Love Well,” proclaims the radical love and inclusive essence of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Despite recently published “guidelines” by the Executive Committee of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists calling for the disfellowship of LGBT church members, the Crosswalk Community welcomes the diversity of humankind, created in God’s image, including those of us who are LGBT.  We continue to support the traditional Seventh-day Adventists policy that holds that Adventist church membership is determined locally.  Our community is compelled to do this in our commitment to listen, grow, and learn better how to “love well.” - The Leadership Team
